ACVB Round 13 (Regular Season): Bairro defeat Lenfer in the closest game of the week

Bairro are looking forward to face league's leader Terra Branca in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sayvonn Houston fired 28 points and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winners. Cav Bernadin produced 30 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Terra Branca have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-3 record. Brava Magic lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Terra Branca will meet Bairro (#5) in the next round. Brava Magic will play against Campana Lanca (#3) and hope to secure a win.

Very expected game when 8th ranked Kaiada (4-10) was defeated at home by third ranked Campana Lanca (8-5) 91-84 on Sunday. Josh Lopes fired 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Elton Fonseca (183, college: Quincy) chipped in 20 points. Justin Brooks produced 22 points and 9 rebounds and Ad Pires added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Campana Lanca maintains third place with 8-5 record having just two points less than leader Terra Branca. Kaiada lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Campana Lanca will meet bottom-ranked Brava Magic (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. His fellow American import point guard Aaron Calixte (180-1994, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Calixte is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
